Sometimes our couples surprise us.  Brad and I knew our time with Savannah and Eliot would be special but we didn’t have a clue what we would witness.  We didn’t know we would capture a couple that found so much joy in the most unexpected places of life.  We didn’t know how safe Savannah would look in Eliot’s arms…. almost as if she could stay there forever.  We didn’t know what these two had been through, and how special it was that we were there, with them, documenting the start of such an important journey.  We didn’t know we’d leave learning more about ourselves, and being reminded that there is so much joy in this world, and so much to be thankful for.

Savannah and Eliot are getting married this fall in a big open field followed by a reception on a house boat. It’ll be amazing, epic, and I’m sure the pictures will show it. But for now… these two are enjoying the journey of being engaged,  preparing to start a life together, hand in hand, and finding joy in signs that talk about dog poop.
