ryan and rachel wanted an intimate celebration. a celebration of their love, of their families, and friends. a celebration that felt like home.
so their mothers joined forces and restored the old and dusty family barn. they poured a concrete floor, cleared out the equipment, and scoured yard sales for beautiful vintage plates, antique furniture, and preloved chandeliers and turned what was once a storage for tractors into one of the most beautifully detailed places they could have ever asked for.
the day was a celebration of families coming together, working together, and loving one another through challenges.
we remember ryan’s father scurrying around the house, hopping from computer to phone, trying to book a new (unflooded) destination for ryan and rachel’s honeymoon. all the while, they were calm, happy, and knew that at the day’s end, they would be married, and wherever they ended up, they would be thankful to be there together.
gosh, what a reminder of thankfulness.
we’ve been so blessed this year to witness moments like this. people giving their time, energy, homes, resources and trust to pull such huge celebrations together.
thank you ryan. thank you rachel. for inviting us in and reminding us that marriage can’t sustain itself without the help of friends, family, and golden sunsets.
Wow…amazing & elegant event!
