Audrey + Paul, Married in Alabama

The day started slow.

A few tasks here and there.  Boys kicking balls and girls painting nails. It truly felt like summer camp…with the imminent celebration you could see in everyone’s smile.

Especially Audrey’s..

..a daughter, a sister, a friend, a woman…who was filling up with the joy of her celebration….fighting happy tears with a smile just as bright as her Dad’s… and spilling it out on the floor as if you could pick it up and hold it yourself.

and Paul, a brother, a son, a man, was calm…quiet…private… bubbling up on the inside…  preparing all day for the moment when he would see his bride..

It was the end of a journey and the beginning of new one. Because it was no longer 200 miles that separated Audrey from Paul….but a white veil and the words, “I do”…

So by the time of the ceremony, the weight of Paul’s emotions flooded into the arms of every guest…and the anticipation turned into celebration as they stood in front of the parents that raised them, the brothers and sisters that supported them, and the friends that shaped them, making promises…

Audrey + Paul, thank you for inviting us in, having the courage to be vulnerable, and for showing us what it means to truly receive love and give love.

This is a day we’ll never forget.
