Ben + Sarah, Married in New Hampshire

It took us a few weeks to fully digest everything we experienced from our weekend with Ben and Sarah….and to be honest… I’m not even sure where to start.   These two are some of the most selfless, kind, and joyful people we’ve ever met.

Ben and Sarah opted out of putting us up in a hotel and gave us their home, tucked in the woods next to Dartmouth, to stay in for the weekend.  So when we arrived in Hanover we opened the door to find a note full of things to do, a cozy bed, and a pound of some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. (In fact, it’s the only coffee we’ve bought since. Go ahead…treat yourself)

We weren’t there for long before Sarah’s parents showed up to pick up some things and make sure we were comfortable and settled in.  We were greeted with cheer, tight hugs, and an invitation to the BBQ dinner.

It felt like home…and we felt like family.

I’m not sure what we were expecting but it wasn’t this.

The morning of the wedding, we woke to rain. Cold rain. Rain that makes you want to hide inside. It never stopped…all day.  But what it did do, was lift…in a perfect circle around Ben and Sarah’s venue….so when we showed up for the first look, Ben looked at the planner in pure confidence and said, “We’re doing this thing outside.”

And we did.

I could go on and on with similar stories, but I’ll end with this….

Ben and Sarah took their wedding and the celebration of their vows, as an excuse to thank and love each and every person that had supported them, encouraged them, and made them the people they are today.  What a gift!   We’ll never forget the warmth that radiated from every guest and we are so thankful to have made images from this day that will be told for generations.
