I’ve known Savannah since college. we met in a photography class and have more memories of acting like children in the lab than I can count. She’s incredibly goofy, and I never thought there could be a better side of her than her humor. But of course, I hadn’t met Eliot yet. And when I did, I saw even more of Savannah’s beautiful personality shine through…. and I knew that they had found something truly special in one another.
Savannah and Eliot’s love is so strong it’s tangible. It’s passionate, it’s affectionate, but over everything… it’s mad. they seized every opportunity they had, to love on one another, squeeze one another, kiss, and called each other “husband” and “wife” just to hear out loud.
There are a million things we could gush about from their wedding day, but one incredible and moving moment keeps coming back to us. During the ceremony, Savannah pulled a note from her dress, a note Eliot had written to Savannah years before when they were dating, and read it back to him as part of her vows. It read:
“you’re my life
my love
my everything
you’re more than I could deserve
or want
or ask for
you’re what I hope to dream about
and what I’m ecstatic to wake up to
I could never describe how beautiful you are…
and I’m forever yours”
Savannah + Eliot, thank you, thank you, thank you for inviting us in, calling us friends, and looking so damn good on your unforgettable wedding day.
