Rainy Louisiana Wedding

We woke up Saturday to a flood warning and a forecast of 100% chance of rain. I’m not sure what we were expecting when we showed up to Ben’s family land, but it whatever it was, it wasn’t an outdoor wedding.

But of course…we were wrong.

Instead we arrived to a handful of family members working together and thanking God for the beautiful weather. We arrived to find Ben and Alyson who cared less about dirtying their wedding attire, and more about embracing the drops of water as they saw one another for the first time. We didn’t expect soaked clothes, a couple willing to trek through mud, or dancing in the rain. But regardless of our expectations….it all happened….and we couldn’t have imagined a better day.
